Nicola Tarque is a PhD and an Associate Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). Recently, he has participated as a Post-doctoral fellow at the University of Bologna (DICAM department) and University Gabriele d'Annunzio (INGEO department). In 2012, he was awarded by the Coimbra Group Universities to collaborate with a joint project at the University of Pavia and the University Gabriele d'Annunzio (Pescara), both institutions in Italy. He has been involved in projects related to reinforced and unreinforced masonry and he has been in charge of dynamic test of full-scale adobe houses at the PUCP. His latest researches deal with the displacement-based seismic risk assessment of adobe dwellings and the numerical modelling of masonry structures.
